Advances in GPS and GNSS technology
Hi everyone,
I’ve been reading about new multi-constellation GNSS systems and real-time correction services that promise centimeter-level accuracy, even in challenging environments. What recent advances in GPS and GNSS technology have you found most impactful for surveying or mapping work?

Hi everyone, Some of the most impactful advances I’ve seen lately are dual- and triple-frequency GNSS receivers, which handle multipath and satellite occlusions much better. Also, real-time kinematic (RTK) and network RTK (nRTK) correction services are enabling sub-centimeter accuracy in the field. Another game changer is PPP (Precise Point Positioning) with real-time correction, which gives high precision without needing a local base station. These tools are starting to transform surveying workflows. For more local insight, see what Surveyors Brisbane https://surveyorsbrisbane.com.au/ are using.
