Volunteer Opportunity
June 2026
Exciting news.... we have approval to conduct volunteer working bees to tidy up the gardens around the Vincentia golf course and club house over the next couple of months. We do not have specific dates for the working bees as yet; however they will be starting in the very near future.
There are 3 group leads and the key projects for the working bees are:
-
Brian Holland - around the northern side of the 9th hole
-
Greg Crass - the area surrounding the dam between the 1st and 13th fairways and surrounding the greenkeeper shed
-
Brenda Garnett - the garden beds around the southern end of the carpark.
The working bees will consist of:
-
weeding garden beds
-
trimming shrubs and hedges
-
trimming trees
-
removal of invasive vegetation that has been identified
-
general clean up external of the Club house.
To do this we are also seeking supporters with:
-
trailers to take green waste to the tip on each working bee
-
mulchers to use on the day, or excess mulch to donate
-
unused Tip Vouchers that expire on 31 July 2026 to donate.
You would be required to bring your own gardening gloves and wear appropriate clothing for the task. Every little bit helps and you will only be expected to participate within your abilities.
If you are interested and available to help or provide assistance, please respond via email to volunteer@jbcsc.com.au
Please include your preference to help during the week, on the weekend and what you can provide.
