SGBCC AGM called 18 October 2026 + JBCSC community engagement continues
Updated: 2 minutes ago

On 21 September 2026 a notice was received by members for the Annual General Meeting of St Georges Basin Country Club Limited. The AGM will be held at the Clubhouse, 11 Paradise Beach Road, Sanctuary Point at 10.00am on Sunday 18 October. This included The Annual President’s Report from Bob Proudfoot.
This report stated the continued commitment of the SGBCC Board for de-amalgamation:
Strategically, we also continue to progress the proposed de-amalgamation of Vincentia, with the financial viability assessment now being finalised. This has been a long and complex process, but your Board remains committed to achieving an outcome that protects the interests of St Georges Basin Country Club and its members while providing the Vincentia community with the opportunity to shape its own vision.
Please note that you need to be a current financial ‘social’ member of SGBCC to attend the AGM.
We understand those members who did not renew their social membership (of $8.50 for 1 year or $18.00 for 3 years) before the end of August, officially became lapsed members. Please check the year on your Country Club membership card to confirm you are financial (in large black numbers – either 2027, 2028 or 2029).
We recommend all JBCSC supporters arrive from 9.30am on Sunday 18 October to allow enough time for you to park, and give SGBCC staff time to register your attendance and then make your way into the auditorium at the Clubhouse at Sanctuary Point.
The JBCSC Board encourages everyone in the community to show respectful collegiality and support as de-amalgamation is progressed through the regulatory hoops at this time.
From our discussions and meetings with the SGBCC Board and Management to date, we have seen a genuine community spirit and a desire to achieve an outcome that is fair to both clubs and, importantly, to the broader community. We look forward to working closely with the SGBCC Board and Management to progress this significant community project to benefit members and visitors.
JBCSC community engagement continues
Last Friday 25 September, over 50 volunteers and supporters celebrated JBCSC’s Spring Banter & Raffles with live music from the ‘Swamp Runners’ on the deck at Mercier’s Huskisson.
Our JBCSC’s Spring Raffle included a case of Pilsner from Jervis Bay Brewing Company, a meat tray from Premium Meats South Nowra, bottles of vintage Shiraz and Prosecco plus a large box of chocolates for the sweet tooths.
Thank you to all those who attended and help raise over $300 raised from JBCSC raffle!

Bottle & can collection at Vincentia Golf Club for local kids
A reminder to everyone to continue to spread the word to their friends and community that the bottle and can collection at Vincentia Golf Club continues to be a huge success in supporting Shoalhaven Kids in Need, a wonderful local organisation helping local families with children facing cancer and other serious illnesses.
We encourage everyone to keep dropping off their bottles and cans. A lot of little contributions can make a BIG difference to young lives.
The collection bins are near the golf shop which remains open (while the club is currently closed).
Thank you to everyone for your fantastic support.
The response has been quite overwhelming and is another reminder of just how deeply kind and caring our community is.
Please share this community update with your family, friends and neighbours.
Help us spread the word about the Jervis Bay Community & Sports Club.
