On 21st May, JBCSC submitted a confirmation letter regarding the Community Bid for the de-amalgamation of CCV from SGBCC. This letter clearly outlined specific information that JBCSC required to formulate its bid. The letter was tabled this week at the SGBCC Board's 29th May meeting.
This morning JBCSC received the following letter from CEO Ben Clegg on behalf of the SGBCC Board meeting, which demands a "firm bid for de-amalgamation no later than 12pm Monday 23rd June 2025. No offers shall be accepted following this date and deamalgamation shall cease if none are received." A full copy of the letter is available for view here:
Given JBCSC's need for independent assessors to inspect the CCV site, along with provision of a detailed asset register and specific details of CCV operations to help with this independent assessment which will inform the official JBCSC bid, the JBCSC Board and Project Team believe the 23rd June deadline does not accord with normal commercial practice nor commercial protocols that would normally be expected to apply to a transaction
of this size and complexity. JBCSC's Board has, therefore, replied to SGBCC in urgency today requesting an extension to allow bids to be received before Monday 21st July 2025. A full copy of the letter is available for view here:
JBCSC Board and Project Team will provide further updates as they occur.
