Worrowing Event Wrap-Up

A letter from Alan Moore, JBCSC Director & Fundraising Lead:

Hello everyone,

This is a quick but sincere ‘wrap-up’ of our recent JBCSC event at Worrowing, Jervis Bay.

Thank you to all volunteers and supporters who attended the JBCSC community engagement and fundraising event at Worrowing, Jervis Bay on the evening of 8th August 2026. The event was a sellout and indeed a great success thanks to the generosity of the local community. The support of so many people, from local individuals and businesses to our wonderful JBCSC volunteers and supporters who gathered together on the evening, to help continue our progress towards realising our community club up on the hill in Vincentia.

Craig Hatton, Chairperson, JBCSC Ltd, has released a personal letter today to the Bay and Basin community thanking them for their support of the event and their continuing support of

JBCSC.

Personally, I would like to thank my JBCSC Fundraising Team, Ines Gale, Sally Ann Copp, Rosalie Wood, Ken Buckley and Simone Jones for their personal drive and commitment for

all things JBCSC and the all-important assistance of the JBCSC Communications Team,

Kathy Godwin, Leanne Windsor, Lyn Hay and Wayne Pryor. And a huge thanks to Kerry McKeand, JBCSC Volunteer Co-Ordinator, for co-ordinating our versatile, adaptable and dynamic volunteer team.

A special thanks must go to Jennifer and Adrian Robinson and their staff, Chelsea and Jade,

at Worrowing. From the opportunity to use such an amazing space as the ‘Hereford’ Pavillion’ to the support they provided to organise and undertake this evening, their assistance was integral in making this night such a success. Fundraising to support the Vincentia Golf Club de-amalgamation was a key objective of the night, but more importantly was the opportunity to bring community members together who support the JBCSC vision.

For those who were unable to attend this event and instead provided a donation to JBCSC,

your generosity was most appreciated. It was a pleasure engaging with the community to organise this event and meeting so many like-minded individuals on the night.

This event is part of a growing movement on our community to save a green space and develop an inclusive community club which is not just a golf course.

From my perspective, the community commitment we saw on the evening of the 8th of August bodes well in achieving these goals JBCSC looks forward to undertaking more community engagement activities in the coming months and we will definitely be keeping our supporters advised.

Thank you for your ongoing support

Cheers,

Alan
