On Monday, the 8th of December, representatives from BY Group visited the VGC precinct to look at the clubhouse premises and begin the process of advising JBCSC on how we could refurbish it quickly to re-open upon de-amalgamation. BY Group provided JBCSC Directors and Project Team with some preliminary ideas based on this initial inspection, and BY Group intends to send some of their expert advisers to provide a more detailed analysis of the site to the JBCSC team.

JBCSC appreciates SGBCC Board and Management’s support in allowing such inspections of the clubhouse to assist in developing a plan for refurbishment and re-opening.

Your Club – We can do this together

At the recent Volunteers Meet & Greet session, Craig Hatton (JBCSC Chair) shared these inspirational words with JBCSC’s team of volunteers:

“A club that belongs to everyone… Most importantly, I want you to feel ownership.

Use the facilities. Bring your ideas. Host your groups. Make this club your home destination - a place to enjoy sport, events, local food, friendship, and the vibrancy of our community.

When we look back in the future and see a thriving, active hub buzzing with life, we will know it happened because people like you cared enough to step up and contribute...

Just like the locals who built Vincentia Golf Club in the 60s, we are creating something that will last for generations - a club built by the community, for the community.

This is our moment.

Our opportunity.

Our club.

Let’s bring it back to life - together.

If you have donated or pledged or have registered as a volunteer, these limited edition stickers are available free and can be picked up in the Burton Street Mall on Taco Tuesdays from 6:00-7:00pm from one of the JBCSC team (just look out for volunteers in JBCSC t-shirts).

You can also purchase a "I’m a Supporter" sticker from Ruth or Phil at TOYWORLD Vincentia for $5 cash.

JBCSC’s fundraising efforts continue

Donations and Pledges are still needed - please visit JBCSC's Fundraising page on the website. All contributions help build financial viability for clubhouse refurbishment and re-opening.

Saving the Vincentia golf precinct as important community green space which also serves as a sanctuary for Shoalhaven's flora and fauna AND providing future generations with an inclusive community club centred around multi-sports, leisure, and community connections in Jervis Bay. That’s JBCSC’s vision!
