JBCSC community engagement continues

Update on VGC Golf day at Vincentia

JBCSC recently sought approval to hold a Vincentia Golf Club Community Engagement & Fundraising Event on Sunday, 26 April. Unfortunately, we were not able to secure approval for this date following the SGBCC Board meeting on 19 March 2026.

While this is disappointing, we remain committed to bringing our community together. The JBCSC Board will now work with our dedicated Fundraising Committee to explore an alternative event that members, supporters and their families can still enjoy together.

Upcoming JBCSC Fundraising events

There are at least 3 other upcoming JBCSC fundraising events currently being planned by our Fundraising Committee. These include:

• Approx early June: Hospitality Fundraising event, Vincentia

• Approx late June: Fundraising event at Huskisson Cinema

• Approx late July: Christmas in July restaurant event

Announcements on the dates and details of these events will be coming soon.

JBCSC Easter Pop-up stand with merchandise at Burton St Mall

Come down to the Burton Street Mall, Vincentia to say hello to our JBCSC volunteers on Easter Saturday 4 April & Sunday 5 April from 8:00am - 12:00noon on the long weekend. Our volunteers will be sharing information with visitors and locals about our new community club with visual displays and brochures. Volunteers will also be reminding all SGBCC members to ensure their membership is current to be eligible for an important Member Vote/s when a special meeting is called to proceed with de-amalgamation.

The Easter Pop-up stand is a great opportunity to view our new JBCSC merchandise rack on display. Look, touch and check your size on the latest range of t-shirts, caps and bucket hats for all ages. A well-deserved break over the Easter school holidays for JBCSC volunteers conducting raffles

Volunteer-led raffles on Wednesday’s for Miss G’s Trivia and Friday’s for Banter & Raffles events, will take a short break for the Easter school holidays from Friday 3 April to Sunday 19 April.

Meanwhile, Simon at Mercier’s will be the Quizmaster, continuing with lots of fun with Weekly Trivia every Wednesday from 6:00-9:00pm. Its $2 to enter Trivia, with food and drinks also available. Book your table ahead of time via Mercier’s Facebook page or drop by Mercier’s in Huskisson.

Happy hour on Fridays from 5:00pm will also continue throughout the Easter school holidays at Mercier’s Gelato, Coffee & Bar at 13 Currambene Street, Huskisson.

Our Monthly Volunteer Catch-up's will be on the last Friday of every month, coinciding with Banter and Raffles at Mercier’s which will continue. Our next Volunteer Catch-up is on Friday, 24 April at 5:00-7:00pm.
