Evening Celebration & Fundraiser at Worrowing Jervis Bay (8 August 2026)
We are pleased to announce that all tickets are now sold for the inaugural JBCSC community engagement and fundraising event to be held at Worrowing Jervis Bay on the evening of Saturday, 8th August 2026.
We have already been contacted by people who have missed out on a ticket, so we have started a Waitlist for this event. We also realise that sometimes life gets in the way, and some people may find at the last minute that they cannot attend. If this happens to you, please email donate@jbcsc.com.au and we can reimburse you for your tickets and sell them to someone on the Waitlist.
The JBCSC Fundraising Team has worked tirelessly to organise the event and they could not have done it without the support of the local community. From the amazing team at Worrowing who are providing a wonderful venue, to the local radio stations of 2ST, ABC Illawarra and Triple U, and the ‘Jervis Bay Weekend’ for promoting the event, to the local businesses and community members who have donated gifts for the auction and raffle prizes, and to the local community members who have bought tickets to attend the event. We are most grateful for all this support, and we look forward to spending this evening with community members who are so supportive of what we are trying to achieve once we have completed the de-amalgamation journey.
Event details have been finalised. Unfortunately, we have had a few cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances, but we have found amazing replacements to support us on the night. Square facilities are available for credit/debit card payments for raffle tickets, auction and donations on the night, and cash will also be accepted. Also bring along some gold coins for games.
Here’s a quick rundown of the evening’s main events. Please note these timings are approximate. Attendees will be ‘ticked off’ upon arrival at the Hereford Pavillion by JBCSC support staff using a master attendance list – there is no need to provide an individual ticket.
4.00pm – Event opens / Melaleuca Gallery opens / Music with Noah Lever / Henry Clive Bar opens / Grazing Boxes distributed / Outdoor games open / Ticket sales for auctions and raffles commence
5.00pm – Ola Chola (paellas), Wandering Wood Fired Pizza, and Copper Drop (coffee / dessert) food trucks open
6.00pm – Welcome to Country
6.10pm – Official welcome by MC and JBCSC Director
6.15pm – ‘Swamp Runners’ Band
7.00pm – MC conversation with JBCSC Director followed by Lucky Door prize draw / Raffles draw / Live Auctions
8.00pm – ‘Straya’ Band
9.00pm – Silent Auction results / Games results / Housekeeping and Thank-you(s)
9.15pm – Music set
9.45pm – Last drinks served
10.00pm – Event concludes
We have an array of raffle prizes and auction items, including local artworks, luxury accommodation packages, dining out vouchers in our fabulous local restaurants and cafes, beauty packages, sports packages, wine and spirits, etc. Hopefully, there will be something for everyone to make a bid or buy a ticket to help us open our community club ‘up on the hill’ at Vincentia. It would be amiss not to say thank-you to those community members who are unable to attend the event and instead have provided a donation to JBCSC. Your generosity is most appreciated.
Please note that the Fundraising Committee is still looking for a few MORE volunteers to help out on the night. If you are able to assist, please email Kerry, our Volunteers Coordinator at volunteer@jbcsc.com.au. As they say, many hands make light work.
It has been a pleasure engaging with the community in organising this event. This event is part of a growing movement by our community to save a green space, not just a golf course.
I hope to see you on the 8th of August; however, if you have missed this great opportunity there will be more in the coming months.
Thanks,
Alan Moore

Great night at Raffles & Banter on Friday
On Friday night (31 July), we had a good turnout of JBCSC volunteers and supporters at our monthly ‘Banter & Raffle’ catch-up at Mercier's.
Mercier’s have completed inside refurbishment and introduced a new Tacos menu on Wednesday-Saturday each week, which includes Pulled Pork, Baja Fish, Steak, and Vegetable tacos to choose from, along with share plates of BBQ Corn Ribs, Corn Chips & Guacamole, Chicken Wings two ways and Season Chips. There are also some Kids meals on offer.

Kerry, our new JBCSC Volunteers Coordinator, was also there on the night to chat with people about opportunities to help out JBCSC as we move towards de-amalgamation.
Congratulations to our raffle prize winners, and many thanks to South Nowra Premium Meats for donating the $50 meat tray, and community member donations of wine and chocolates.
Our next ‘Banter & Raffle’ catch-up will be Friday, 28 August at Mercier’s.
Wednesday Trivia is back on – Join in the fun!
JBCSC’s weekly Trivia and Fundraising raffle on Wednesdays is back ON following a short break over the July school holidays. Mercier’s recent refurbishment includes a rejuvenated bar and plenty of extra indoor tables and lounges to accommodate everyone for Miss Gee’s popular Trivia night from 6pm, with Trivia starting at 7pm sharp.
Come along and enjoy Trivia with Miss Gee at just $2 each player. There are Trivia prizes and a fun-filled weekly Raffle cash jackpot in ‘Pick a Box’ (currently at $230), all raising funds to support JBCSC.
