On behalf of the JBCSC Board, Craig Hatton (JBCSC Chair) is excited to announce that we continue to move on in strides.
Financial support
Thanks to your kind generosity for the future of our club, pledges have increased over the last week, and we need more pledges right now to get our Club open in the best possible condition.
Donations continue to come in slowly and are gratefully appreciated to pay for the immediate de-amalgamation costs, especially legal fees and the essential independent accountant report. Every dollar counts!
Please visit Invest in your Future Club to submit a pledge or make a donation.
Volunteers
JBCSC does, and will, greatly depend on the invaluable contributions of our volunteers. We appreciate everyone’s contribution of time and skill to date. All new volunteers are warmly welcomed. This is your chance to become part of our new community and sports club. What would you like to do?
JBCSC volunteers are currently working on the following tasks:
The JBCSC Board and Project Team continues to work on several tasks involving communications with SGBCC, business plan and operations, financial modelling to demonstrate viability, and governance, all of which helps us move closer towards de-amalgamation.
The Communications Committee and Working Group continue to deliver messaging to community clubs in the Vincentia and broader Bay & Basin area; help with local letter box drops; and are ramping up promotion of JBCSC’s new club with fundraising and volunteer drives.
The Fundraising Committee continues to manage donations and pledges and expand fundraising initiatives to help get us closer to our financial targets.
The contributions of current volunteers working with SGBCC on the Vincentia golf course, and those who volunteer their time and expertise for Vincentia Men’s, Women’s and Vets Golf sub-clubs are highly valued by JBCSC. We look forward to actively building the golf course and clubhouse as a destination for future young golfers through to veteran players. We will be working with Golf NSW and Golf Australia on grants to achieve course improvements and accomplish our vision of a top destination 18-hole golf course for our community and visitors to Jervis Bay.
Future projects volunteers could help us with are:
A children’s playground;
Enhanced outdoor dining and entertainment spaces, e.g., an outdoor cinema, enhanced paved areas;
Clubhouse renovations, including paint, ceilings, bathroom aesthetics; and
Enhancing the natural environment with native plantings along the fairways, especially given part of the golf course is an important wildlife corridor.
