Response to SGBCC President's Message

Updated: Jul 6

Jervis Bay Community and Sports Club acknowledges the continued efforts of St Georges Basin Country Club in maintaining the Vincentia golf course during this important transition period.

We appreciate the commitment shown by SGBCC in the de-amalgamation process, and keeping the course operating and available to members and the broader community, while the Independent Accountant conducts the financial viability assessment process.

Throughout recent months, representatives of JBCSC and SGBCC have met regularly in a constructive and cooperative manner, working through complex matters with a shared focus on achieving the best possible outcome for members, golfers and the wider community.

The de-amalgamation process is complex and there is still a lot of work ahead and important decisions remain to be made. The relationship between both organisations continues to be professional, respectful and solution focused. We believe this collaborative approach provides the strongest foundation for the future of golf, community sport, trade and training opportunities and recreation at Vincentia.

JBCSC remains committed to continue working positively with SGBCC through the remaining stages of the process, and thank supporters for their patience, understanding and ongoing support.

Together the two clubs’ focus remains on protecting and strengthening this valuable community asset for future generations.
