Our volunteers drive builds momentum

The JBCSC volunteer base is growing. As we move towards de-amalgamation in mid-2026 there's lots to be done and we need community help.
There is an expanding band of helpers being led by JBCSC Volunteers Coordinator Brenda Garnett who has a wealth of experience and a friendly smile.
To bring volunteers together the following activities are planned.
Volunteer Meet & Greet and Information Session
When: Tuesday, 2 Dec 2025, 5:30 - 6:30 pm
Where: Vincentia Community Hall in Coles Car Park
This is a more formal opportunity for all those who want to help or have signed up as a JBCSC volunteer. Come along to hear from our JBCSC Directors and Brenda, and meet other volunteers.
Volunteer Get Togethers
When: Every Tuesday in the months of December and January from 6pm.
Where: Near 'The Local' at Burton St Mall, Vincentia
Catch up with Brenda and other JBCSC volunteers in an informal way at Taco Tuesdays. Look for Brenda in her JBCSC t-shirt every Tuesday evening from 6pm.
For more information see JBCSC's new Volunteers page on the website.
All the work done on de-amalgamation so far, including the JBCSC Board, Project Team, Working Group, Committees and wider community groups, has been done by volunteers using their collective expertise.
Join the push. Can you help?
Fill in the form on the Volunteers page, come along to a session or contact Brenda or one of the JBCSC team. Lists of volunteers, contacts and skills are being collated.
You can choose how you’ll be contacted when opportunities to help come up. Everyone is busy, so it’s up to you how much time you can give.
Can’t volunteer? Donations and Pledges are still needed - please visit JBCSC's Fundraising page on the website.
Thanks to the volunteers and all the JBCSC supporters for your ongoing efforts.
