The Inaugural JBCSC Volunteers ‘Meet & Greet’, held at the Vincentia Community Hall on Tuesday 2 December, was an outstanding success! Brenda Garnett, our Volunteers Coordinator, warmly welcomed over 65 volunteers.
Craig Hatton, Chair of the JBCSC Board, shared JBCSC’s Vision and status of the VGC clubhouse and golf course. He expressed the Board’s appreciation for the enormous community of volunteers who have volunteered to help reinvigorate the VGC precinct.
Tom Karp, JBCSC Director & De-amalgamation Lead, explained the timeline for the de-amalgamation process with plenty more hoops of regulatory processes to go for both SGBCC and JBCSC.
Alan Moore, JBCSC Director & Fundraising Lead, thanked everyone who has donated and pledged. Alan appreciated that so many volunteers have offered to assist with fundraising activities, and also that more community donations and pledges are required for JBCSC to support start-up operations.
Brenda Garnett then discussed the volunteering process, and talked about the NEW Volunteers page on the JBCSC website. Brenda appreciated the generous offers of volunteers with a wide rage of skills, interests and availability. Every volunteer attending was acknowledged with a JBCSC "I’m a Supporter" sticker. Volunteers were overwhelming inspired, and enjoyed meeting Brenda and many of the Directors, Project Team and Working Group.
A ground swell of JBCSC Volunteers
At the JBCSC Volunteers ‘Meet & Greet’, Brenda Garnett announced that the JBCSC Registered List of Volunteers is now over 150!!! An additional 60 volunteers offered to support the golf activities, many of whom enjoy golf across the Vincentia golf sub-clubs.
The sorts of generous help offered include: general mechanical work, whipper-snippering, mowing, towing trailers, chainsawing, operate truck/trailer, construction, handyman repairs, fundraising, grant writing, pouring beers with a RSA Certificate and to assist with Proshop activities.
Thank you to all our volunteers… there’s plenty of work for everyone on the road ahead.
Launch of JBCSC online Merchandise shop
Interest in JBCSC Supporters merchandise has seen over 60 shirt and hat orders making the pre-Christmas order deadline - some great Christmas gifts are on their way! The merchandise will be either available for pick up or delivered by our volunteers.
The next deadline for the JBCSC Merch shop is 21 January, 2026.
Sincere thanks to our Committee volunteers who have made this Merchandise online shop live on our JBCSC website in collaboration with Shoalhaven Uniforms, Woollamia. The JBCSC logo has been embroidered or printed on each item. Currently, there are short-sleeve polo shirts in Mens (S-5XL) and Womens (6-24) sizes, t-shirts for adults (sizes XS-3XL), t-shirts for kids and teens (sizes 2-16), as well as bucket hats and caps. So there’s something for everyone! More items and colours will be added over time.
