De-amalgamation timeline revised with target dates

Charting our path towards de-amalgamation

JBCSC has updated the timeline for the de-amalgamation roadmap following discussion with JBCSC Directors and the President of the St Georges Basin Country Club. As both Boards work together on progressing every regulatory step in achieving de-amalgamation, an anticipated date of 30 June 2026 has been set. You will now see some target dates (or estimation of weeks) for steps in the roadmap to give the community an idea of how much time is required to complete each step. We are hoping this helps a little with expectation management within the community.

St Georges Basin Country Club have been working on some repairs and maintenance of the VGC precinct, including sealing roof leaks on the Vincentia Clubhouse, and last week green staff undertook essential coring and sanding of all 13 greens with some cart path levelling also completed. Work on the asset register continues, which is a key document for de-amalgamation.

Meet the JBCSC Team

This weekend the JBCSC team will be attending the Vincentia Festival of Music and Art (FOMA) which is being held in the Burton Street Mall Vincentia on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 October. This is a great opportunity for community members to meet some of the JBCSC team, including Directors, Project Team, Working Group, Communications Committee, Fundraising Committee (and Fundraising Events Sub-Committee) and our new Volunteers Coordinator.

A big thank-you to Vincentia Connections Hub for the Vincentia FOMA invitation and kind hospitality for providing JBCSC with an area just up from the IMB. Our team appreciates this opportunity to connect with community and to display and discuss our vision for the new Jervis Bay Community & Sports Club.

Please keep up the donations, pledges and offers to be a JBCSC volunteer

Our fundraising journey has just started to gain momentum, but we still have a long way to go!! Promotional posters and a letter-box drop are planned to reach out to all corners of our community with key messaging about the call for donations and pledges, and the need for volunteers to help us get the clubhouse not just open and operational but transform Vincentia Golf Club into a dynamic recreation and leisure facility that our community deserves, and maintain our beautiful green space as a haven for Shoalhaven flora and fauna.

Please act now!
